Contacta STS-K009 IP LB intercom system

The Contacta STS-K009 is an intercom system with IP55 rating and part of the STS series. When normal speech is not possible due to a barrier, such as glass or a safety screen, this means of communication is used. Thanks to a combination of loudspeakers and microphones on both sides of the barrier, it is possible to communicate with each other. The intercom system also has an induction loop system. This makes the intercom also easy to use for hearing aid users.This intercom system has special features compared to most Contacta intercom systems. On the customer side a call button is included on the surface mount speaker with build-in microphone. In situations where staff cannot see persons standing at the customer side this is the ideal solution. When the customer presses the call button it alerts the staff to the customer’s presence. The staff can than open the conversation channel. It has also an LED light to help users to find the system in darkness.

IP55 rating

The STS-K009 IP has an IP55 rating which means that this product is perfectly suited to outdoor environments, offering protection against water, dust, and dirt ingress. This outdoor intercom system provides high quality sound for a variety of outdoor applications such as gateways, distribution depots, ports or ferry terminals.

Complete system

This intercom system is very complete and comes in the colour black. On the customer side a surface mount speaker with build-in microphone and call button is placed. The STS-SU1G-B standing microphone with build-in speaker and on/off button is placed on the staff side. The supplied IL-AE99 induction loop can be placed under the counter or desk. When connected to the amplifier, microphones and loudspeakers, a hearing aid can receive the signal and convert it into sound. The energy-efficient STS-A31H-K009IP amplifier controls the intercom system. The system is robust and easy to install.

Breaking through (language) barriers

The STS-K009 IP LB can be used in situations where a conversation takes place at a desk, stand or desk, with a barrier between the two persons. It is specially designed for situation where the staff not always has a clear view on the customer side. When the customer presses the call button, it alerts the staff to the customer’s presence. The robust intercom system is used in care homes, hospitals, railway stations, distribution depots and airports.
