VCT Series
The Penton VCT25R is part of the VCT volume controle series. They offer a high quality in a stylish design. The controllers are available in 25 Watts and 80 Watts versions.The controllers have a attenuator knob that has a 10-step attenuation plus Off. Due to the non-stop selector it gives a smooth variation in the output. The total attenuation is 30 dB with -3 dB steps and offers excellent frequency response and efficiency. The controller can be used for surface mount or flush mount solutions.
The Penton VCT25R
The Penton VCT25R is a 25 Watts volume control. The R means it has a volume restoration option. With it you can restore the volume to a preset level. When the relay is activated it can be set to full volume or reduced by either -3 dB or -6 dB.The controller can be used with a 100 volt or a 70,7 volt system. The controller has a frequency reponse of 40 Hz to 20 kHz.
Installation
Installing the volume control is simple. When used as a surface mount you can use the supplied back cover. However when used for flush mount installation you would need a MK junction box with a minimal depth of 47 milimeter. The junction box is not supplied.The terminal strip on the volume control is removable. This allows for easy wiring. The controller has the option to provide volume restoration by using either the three wire, amplifier derived volume restoration or the more common, 2 wire relay controlled volume restoration.The Penton VCT25R summerized
