SoundTube IPD4-CM62-BGM-II-WH loudspeaker
The SoundTube IPD4-CM62-BGM-II-WH is a white in-ceiling loudspeaker and part of the IPD-CM series. These loudspeakers are based on the CM-BGM series and designed for efficiency, high music quality and extra bass, just like this series. The advantage of the
SoundTube IPD-CM series is that it also offers the convenience of Dante control and management. The IPD4-CM62-BGM-II-WH is individually addressable and self-monitoring.
Safe and sturdy
The steel grilles and galvanized steel back can make the IPD4-CM62-BGM-II-WH a very sturdy loudspeaker. Using SoundTube’s included SpeedWing mounting system and the steel tile bridge, the IPD4-CM62-BGM-II-WH can be installed in plasterboard and suspended ceilings of 0,9 to 63,5 millimetre, quickly, easily and safely. For situations where even more safety is needed or required, the loudspeaker is equipped with three extra anchorages. The Seamless grille is magnetic, so the grille can easily be painted in any desired RAL color.
High quality
The IPD4-CM62-BGM-II-WH is equipped with a 40 Watts amplifier, a 6.5” woofer of polypropylene with a butyl rubber ring, and a 1.0” silk dome tweeter. The loudspeaker delivers a smooth, consistent, wide-array distribution of the audio signal and thus offers great sound quality and excellent speech intelligibility.
PoE, PoE+ and non-PoE
A single CAT5 or CAT6 cable brings the audio signal, control functions and up to 40 watts per channel to the loudspeaker. The loudspeaker can be connected to a SoundTube STNet-Switch, or another standard PoE(+) switch. For power supply in non-PoE installations, the IPD4-CM62-BGM-II-WH can also be connected to a 24 volt DC barrel connector.
Suitable for various IP-Dante applications
The IPD4-CM62-BGM-II-WH is specifically designed for IP-addressable audio networks and use on Dante audio platforms. This means that this loudspeaker can communicate with other Dante audio devices via Dante, using ethernet. Because the loudspeaker is set up and managed via Audinate’s Dante Controller Software, zoning is easy. Also, there’s no need to re-wire anything if system requirements change. The loudspeaker can be used for background music and in paging systems. The loudspeaker comes in white, but the grille can easily be painted and thus fits in any interior. This means that the loudspeaker is very suitable for use in hotels, museums, houses of prayer, schools, retail, restaurants, airports and offices, for instance.
Expand with non-Dante
With this loudspeaker it is also possible to add non-Dante SoundTube loudspeakers to an audio installation. Up to three additional SoundTube CM62-BGM-II-WH loudspeakers can run of a single IPD4-CM62-BGM-II-WH. The input power is then divided over the loudspeaker cluster. This offers an economical way to expand audio coverage in a Dante system. In this combination, the four-speaker cluster can be split and configured to handle two separate channels of audio.
