Ashly Pema4125 mixer amplifier

The Ashly Pema4125 is a Low-Z mixer amplifier and part of the Pema series. Pema stands for ‘Protea-Equipped Media Amplifier’. This means that the Pemas are equipped with a digital signal processor, a class-D amplifier and 8 x 8 matrix mixer in one housing. This has the advantage of saving both rack space and installation costs.

Packed with connectors and options

The Pema4125 is equipped with four channels, with a wattage of 125 per channel, at 4 ohms. At 8 ohms, the amplifier produces 75 Watts per channel and in bridge mode even 250 Watts per paired channel. The Pema4125 has eight Euro connector balanced Mic/Line inputs (one of which for TEL-PBX as well), eight pairs of unbalanced, summed mono RCA connectors, eight Euro connector Preamp/Aux outputs, four speaker outputs, plus a 10/100 Ethernet port for easy installation. Due to the 8-in x 8-out matrix mixer, it is possible to assign any input to any output(s). Each in- and output can be muted, individually. The full Protea Suite, which comes with each Pema as a standard, offers an extensive, powerful DSP with a lot of options. This gives six individually configurable DSP blocks, per input and per output. With it come a lot of options, like dynamics, gain control, EQ, crossover, delay, metering and pink/white noise generator. In addition to the standard options of the Protea Suite, the Pema4125 is equipped with gain sharing automatic microphone mixing, an automatic feedback suppressor, ambient noise detection and adjustment. The Pema4125 is very energy efficient. Depending on the temperature, the speed of the fan is determined to maintain the right operation temperature. In addition, the amplifiers have a real time clock, which makes it possible, using the event planner, to switch themselves to stand-by or completely off.

Remote controllable

To control the Pema mixer amplifier remotely, there are various possibilities. For instance, Ashly has developed a Remote Control app for the iPad. In addition, there are various wall control panels available: the WR-1e, the WR-1.5e, the WR-2e and the WR-5e. The neWR-5 is a wall control panel as well, this one is network programmable. Lastly the Pema’s can be controlled using the FR-8, the FR-16, the RD-8C and the RW-8C fader remotes. The function of the buttons on the Pema4125 can be switched off, so others can’t control the amplifier.

Suitable for a variety of applications

In many sound installations, an entire rack of audio devices can be replaced with a single Pema mixer amplifier. This makes the Pema4125 suitable for use in a variety of applications, like banks, fire stations, community centres, churches, restaurants, schools, train stations and malls.

Within the Ashly Pema series, there are various models. First of all, the Pema has either four or eight channels. Then there are various wattages: the models are available in 125 Watts or 250 Watts per channel. Lastly, there are Low-Z and 100 volt versions available.
