What is it?
In public spaces, it's important to provide accommodations for the hearing impaired. Hearing loop systems enable those with hearing aids to listen to the speaker directly. We use solutions such as counter systems, hearing loop amplifiers, RF solutions, and infrared solutions.Loading...
Usage
When a speaker talks into a microphone, the signal is also distributed through a hearing loop amplifier via a loop. This loop creates a magnetic field that is picked up by hearing aids set to the T-coil mode. Hearing loop systems are used in larger spaces like churches or courtrooms. For privacy, a low-spill system can be used to limit the magnetic field to the area. Hearing loops can also be implemented at locations such as pharmacy counters, ensuring clear communication without the need for the pharmacist to raise their voice.
Installation
In larger spaces, the loop is usually embedded in the floor, a method often chosen during new construction when concrete is still being poured. Alternatively, copper tape can be used and easily hidden under carpets. Hearing loop amplifiers are often neatly installed in a 19” rack with a rack mount kit. For counter systems, the loop can be installed under or above the counter, or integrated into the counter itself. The amplifier is typically concealed under the counter to keep it out of sight.
